With the intention to defend the use given to the National budget, Felipe Calderon assured that the taxes paid by the Mexican people have a proper use and are focused on education and health.
During the inauguration of the Polytechnic University of Tlaxcala, the president said that “we know that it is with great effort that Mexicans contribute to the public expense, but I ca assure you that those public expenses are concentrated precisely in what people needs most”.
Thus, Mr. Calderon said that the budget is applied in the health sector in order to obtain total coverage as well as in the higher education sector which has gone from 60 billion pesos t o 85 billion pesos on 2010.
With this example, the President said that at first, the coverage objective in education was of 28%, and that know it has reached 30%. (El Semanario Agencia, ESA)
