AMLO requests Clinton not to take advantage of Calderón

Mexicans must be the ones who resolve internal issues of the country, but they also must promote economic and social development

During the visit of security cabinet from U.S. to Mexico, the politician Andrés Manuel López Obrador urged the State Minister of that country to respect national sovereignty and not to take advantage of the weakness of president Felipe Calderón.

In a letter published in the journal La Jornada, the former presidential candidate directed “with respect” to Hillary Clinton, U.S. State Minister.

The said letter presented that at least one year after delivering another letter, the issues in Mexico concerning insecurity and violence have not changed due to the “inability of false government”.

Mexicans must be the ones who resolve internal issues of the country, but they also must promote
economic and social development to solve migratory and insecurity phenomenon at the north border.

Therefore, the politician native from Tabasco considers “a mistake” facing problems with soldiers, laws and weapons; he recommended a bilateral cooperation “for the development”, rescuing the State with a new economic model and better life and work conditions for the population.
